Role: Data Analyst | Department: Data Science & Analytics | Industry: Retail | Education: UG: BBA/BMS (Any Specialization), BSc in Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications, BTech/BE in CSE or Computer Science and Business System; PG: MBA/PGDM (Any Specialization) Position: Data Analyst Role Summary: We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to transform raw data into meaningful insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, and AI-powered productivity tools, along with a solid understanding of programming logic and data automation. The role requires working closely with the Program Manager and HR Team, along with other cross-functional stakeholders, to build dashboards, automate reports, improve data quality, and support strategic business initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Partner closely with the Program Manager and HR Team to understand business requirements, define reporting needs, and deliver data-driven insights. • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights. • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI. • Create advanced Excel and Google Sheets solutions using formulas, pivot tables, dashboards, Power Query, and automation wherever applicable. • Automate recurring reports and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across multiple data sources. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions. • Use AI tools to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, generate insights, and enhance data analysis. • Apply programming logic to solve analytical problems and support process automation. • Document processes, reporting logic, and best practices for knowledge sharing. • Continuously identify opportunities to improve reporting frameworks, analytics, and business processes. • Learn and adopt new tools and technologies to enhance analytical capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master's in any of these fields will help. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced). • Strong proficiency in Google Sheets, including complex formulas, dashboards, and automation. • Advanced knowledge of Power BI. • Good understanding of programming concepts and logical thinking. Exposure to SQL, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages is an advantage. • Hands-on experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Replit, etc.) to improve analysis, reporting, and workflow automation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with SQL and relational databases. • Familiarity with APIs and data integrations. • Knowledge of workflow automation tools such as Power Automate, Google Apps Script, Zapier, or Make. • Experience working with large datasets and business intelligence platforms. Soft Skills: • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work effectively with the Program Manager, HR Team, and cross-functional business teams. • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies. • Strong ownership, accountability, and time management. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Curious mindset with a passion for continuous learning and process improvement.
