Role: Logistics Manager | Department: Procurement & Supply Chain | Industry: Engineering & Construction | Education: UG: B.Tech / B.E. in Any Specialization; PG: MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management Job description This role is required to lead and manage end-to-end campus logistics and project-wise waste management for a large Data Centre campus having multiple projects under simultaneous development. The role will ensure efficient movement of construction materials, equipment and vehicles across the campus while establishing a robust system for collection, segregation, storage, transportation, recycling, authorised disposal and documentation of waste generated by each project. The position will act as the central point of accountability for logistics and waste management, ensuring that project execution is not constrained by logistics or waste accumulation and that all activities meet safety, environmental, statutory and company requirements. The person should transform logistics and waste management from a project-level reactive activity into a professionally governed campus-wide function. Role & responsibilities: Campus Logistics Planning: • Develop and implement the Campus Logistics Master Plan covering all current and future Data Centre projects. • Plan common logistics infrastructure including entry and exit gates, internal roads, loading/unloading areas, management of material staging areas, and waste collection areas. • Develop campus traffic and vehicle movement plans; establish delivery slots and vehicle movement protocols. • Coordinate logistics requirements across multiple projects to avoid congestion and conflicts. • Establish a project-specific logistics plan aligned with the campus master plan. • Coordinate material deliveries with Project, Procurement, SCM and contractors. • Ensure materials are delivered to the correct project and work front. Waste Management Campus Responsibility: • Develop and implement a Campus Waste Management Plan covering every project and common campus area, including excavated earth/soil, concrete and RCC waste, bricks and masonry, sand and aggregates, steel and metal scrap, wood, packaging material, plastic and cardboard, gypsum, insulation, cable drums, electrical/equipment packaging, MEP installation waste, general construction waste, hazardous waste, used oil and oil-contaminated materials, batteries, e-waste, electrical/electronic scrap, chemical and paint/solvent containers, and green waste. Project-Wise Waste Collection & Disposal: • Establish a project-wise waste collection and disposal system in line with pollution-control requirements, transportation requirements, and site HSE standards. • Implement a digital Logistics & Waste Management Dashboard. Preferred candidate profile: • 12-15 years' experience with Bachelor's degree in engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or related discipline. • Certification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Waste Management or Environmental Management would be advantageous. • Experience in large construction, infrastructure, industrial, Data Centre, power, manufacturing or similar projects. • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects. • Strong experience in construction logistics and transportation. • Demonstrated experience in construction waste/C&D waste management. • Experience in contractor and third-party waste vendor management. • Experience with heavy equipment logistics would be preferred. Note: The displayed company name is literally "AN MNC Data Center Company," with "Posted by Rainbow Hr Consulting Services" underneath - the real employer is never disclosed anywhere in the posting, including the "About company" section, which just repeats "An MNC Data Center Company." The live listing also has a repeated-word artifact ("Internal roads, Internal roads Loading/unloading areas" and "Plastic, Plastic Cardboard" both duplicate a word - cleaned up here) and an apostrophe-stripped "Bachelors degree" (restored here). This is more of a construction-site logistics/waste-management role than a classic procurement or distribution supply-chain role.
